A broad long-haired brown and black tom with amber eyes looked into the forest around him. "It's about time, Blackleaf." "Hm? Is that all you have to say? Not a welcome back to the clan Blackpool?" The brown and black tom retorted. "Bah! Why should I welcome you when you ran off with that she-cat and left your daughter behind?" That earned the other tom a glare. "You know very well I didn't even know she bore my kit! She told me that the moon before she died, Forestgrowl." Blackpool growled under his breath. "Fine fine! Just hurry up, She's been asking about her parents since the day she was born! We had to lie and say we didn't know who her parents were! She found out this lie when the elders were talking about you! For all we know, she may have heard your name!" Forestgrowl sighed but started running back to the camp. "I suggest you hurry, she's about to get her warrior name in 2 more sun-downs.(days)" "All right, all right! I'm coming!" Blackpool took off after him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whispering could be heard all around. "Is he really coming back?" A she-cats excited whisper was heard from the nursery entrance. "I heard Forestgrowls gone to go get him!" A tom was heard from the warriors den this time. Soaringpaw was looking around nervously when she saw Fallingpaw. Fallingpaw was entering camp at the moment, many cats stopped whispering and glanced at her. Soaringpaw hurried over to her. "What's going on?" Fallingpaw was very curious with how they were keeping something from her and only her. "I'm not aloud to tell you, but..., A tom's scent was freshly found on the territory, they keep on saying he's finally back, or Is he really coming home?, I don't know who their talking about, but most of them seem excited, as if some cat was coming back from a long journey." "Did-" Fallingpaw was cut short by Forestgrowl entering camp, howling something like, "He's returned!", and a tom identical to her with the exception to the eyes came entering the camp.The tom glanced at her with a happy and excited look, but he turned around to follow Forestgrowl. "Fallingpaw, Windstar wants you to come join our discussion in the leaders den." Soaringpaw looked at Lightheart questionably, but Fallingpaw did as asked and went into the leaders den. "Fallingpaw, I'd like you to meet Blackpool, you've met him before, just don't remember." Windstar pointed to Blackpool with her tail. "Blackpool is from our bordering clan, Lightclan." "May I ask what this has to do with me?" Before Windstar got to talk Blackpool cut in. "You are my daughter Fallingpaw. The daughter of mine and Hazelwhisker." Fallingpaw blinked before exclaiming, "WHAT?!" So loud the whole camp heard it, and with that, many giggles failing to be repressed and turned into very, very, VERY, hard laughter.
Chapter 1:: When rouge meets clan-cat
"Fallingpaw? Are you all right?" Redpaw, A ginger tabby she-cat with one green eye and one blue eye, followed Fallingpaw from camp. "Huh? Oh, sorry Redpaw, It's nothing. I'll just go on walking ahead." Redpaw gave her a doubtful look but nodded and headed back to camp. Fallingpaw looked at a large spread out tree, branches every where, perfect to climb. About 4 branches up was a lone tom, looking down at her, his tail swaying back and forth. Curiosity filled his eyes as she stared at him back. "Your the first to notice me." Him talking startled Fallingpaw, but she soon re-gained he composure. "How could I not notice when you keep on staring at me?" She replied with a hint of anger in her voice. "Hmph! See, this is why I don't like clan cats at times, always so serious about random things." He had a mocking tone to his voice, which only resulted to her getting madder. "Why only stare at me then?" She tried to stay calm the best she could. "Only you...?" He looked like he was thinking about it himself. "Because you notice me, the first to notice me in a long time." Fallingpaw just gazed at him confused. "Wanna climb up here to?" His question shook her out of her thoughts. "ShadeClan cats don't climb, or more like don't know how." Her body was aching to try and climb though, she had always wanted to try. "Want me to teach you then?" He was chuckling under his reply. "How can I be so sure that your not going to let me fall? I don't even know your name." "My name is Splashingamber, but anyone who knows me calls me by Splash. Now, your name, It's not fair that I don't know yours." She hesitated but answered. " My names Fallingpaw. Your names strange Splash, Splashingember sounds like a clan name." "Bah! Every one says that. It's not normal to have that kind of name, but thats my parents fault not mine," He paused for a moment before continuing, "Speaking of which, where are your parents? I haven't seen any tom or older she-cat with you that look like you." Fallingpaw's tail drooped down sadly. "I don't know. No one will tell me if they even know which clan I was born in. All I know about my parents is that I look like my father. I over heard some elders talking about me and my parents. Only heard that though." Splash's ears perked up at that. "You've only known that your entire life?" Fallingpaw nodded. Without realizing it, she had already climbed up the tree and was laying on the same branch as him. "Interesting, my parents had to leave me while protecting their home. I know my mother died then, and my father died soon after from blood loss." "That's-" Fallingpaw was cut off from hearing her name. "Fallingpaw! Where are you?" "Gah! That's Soaringpaw, I've gotta go." Fallingpaw quickly jumped off the tre, going from branch to branch. "Hey, Fallingpaw, you'll meet me here again won't you?" Fallingpaw turned her head around, "Sure, but make sure to come at sun-down!" She ran off after that. "Where were you Fallingpaw! You know better than to run away into the forest for more then a sun-drops!(hours)" Soaringpaw exclaimed before realizing her scent. "Yes I kn-" "Fallingpaw! Where were you! You smell like rouge!" What are y-" "Don't tell me you were meeting a rouge out there!" "Soaringpaw! Calm down! Yes, I did meet a rouge, but-" "I knew it! What happened?" "Would you listen!" Soaringpaw's interruptions were getting on her nerves. "I met a rouge, yes, but, He was watching me constantly, ever since I became an apprentice. He showed up in that tree over there, I asked him why he was watching me, he said he was just curious. His name was Splash." Soaringpaw was looking at her with curiosity about if anything happened. "And before you ask, I promised I'd talk to him again at sun-down." Fallingpaw sighed, she watched him look at her with laughter in his eyes. "Please keep this a secret Soaringpaw!" Fallingpaw was begging at this rate. "Calm down, Calm down! Of course I'd keep this a secret! You may end up going against the warrior code, but what can I do? Break your promise to him? Yeah right! Best friends are meant to keep secrets for each other!" Soaringpaw said this brightly, looking at her happily. Fallingpaw sighed in relief. "Thank you."
Prolouge::
A large white tom with green eyes and brown patches appeared on a large ledge, the ledge was very wide, but thin, strong enough to hold up to 20 cats at once with out falling the 2-3 fox tails onto the ground. "ShadeClan, "
The tom started out, looking over the clearing of cats. "I feel it is time to make two kits of ours apprentices before sun-down." A long-haired white she-kit with black and golden-brown splashed fur and mesmerizing sky blue eyes and a black tom with silver and gray stripes with grassy green eyes. "Fallingkit," The she-kit stepped up a little. " Do you promise to up-hold the warrior code and serve your clan with all of you power?" Fallingkit blinked and nodded, saying, "I do." at the same time. This time being repeated to the tom, Fallingkit scanned the crowd, seeing many hopeful faces, but one face alarmed her at once, being carful not to flinch, she scanned the cats face and saw curiosity, resentment, and of course, he had to be staring right at her. None of the other cats noticed the tom looking in to the camp from the barrier. "I name you Fallingpaw and Soaringpaw! Fallingpaw, your mentor shall be Blackshadow, Soaringpaw, your mentor shall be Mothcloud." Cats cheered, unknown to them, the tom was still watching now from a tree, only Fallingpaw noticing him and catching his glare... What lurks beyond the barrier was soon to be found out.
